Toyota RAV 4


The base model for Toyota Rav 4 is equipped with standard list of features which include 16 inch steel wheels, auxiliary audio jack, limited slip differential, height adjustable driver seat, air conditioning, telescoping and tilt steering wheel, full power accessories, keyless entry, cruise control and CD player with six-speaker stereo system. The base V6 four-wheel drive model comes with 17 inch cast aluminum wheels. The sport trim level adds 18 inch cast aluminum wheels; sportier suspension tuning and color keyed bumpers, while the V6 all-wheel drive and four-cylinder Sport models come with chrome exterior details, leather-wrapped steering wheel and heated mirrors.

The top of the line Limited trim level of Toyota RAV4 is equipped with regular suspension, satellite radio, 17-inch cast-aluminum wheels, upgraded stereo system with six-CD changer, automatic headlights, roof rails, two-zone automatic climate control, heated mirrors, keyless ignition and hard-shell cover for spare tire. All V6 models are equipped with hill-descent control and hill-start assist. Most of the Toyota RAV4 Review say the RAV4 comes with variety of packages which include Premium package which adds leather upholstery and eight-way power driver seat with power lumbar support, while the latter items can be added separately on the Limited and V6-powered models. The standard engine with RAV4 is 2.5 liter inline four-cylinder engine that generate 172 pound feet of torque and 179 horsepower. The engine is mated with four-speed automatic transmission and the estimated fuel economy is 28mpg highway, 22mpg city and 24mpg in combined driving.

The Toyota RAV4 Review says that there is another engine choice available 3.5 liter V76 engine which is good for producing 246 pound feet of torque and 269 horsepower. This particular model goes from 0 to 60mph in the time range of 7.2 seconds. There are some standard safety features like antilock disc brakes, full length side curtain airbags, stability control system, front seat side airbags, traction control and whiplash reducing front headrests. The National Highway Traffic Safety gave RAV4 as the highest rating for frontal impact crash protection and five star rating for rear and front seat occupant protection. The interior quality is acceptable but not that exclusive as compared to other rivals in the market like Honda CR-V and Chevrolet Equinox. The maximum cargo capacity is 73 cubic feet which is quite impressive and better than other crossover sport utility vehicles.
